Frequently asked questions

All applications are reviewed by the NCRM DEI & Community Engagement team. Strong consideration is given to candidates who convey a sincere interest in attaining a greater understanding of racism and implicit bias for their personal and professional growth and can demonstrate a desire to positively impact their surrounding community.

Each session is comprised of six sessions that are delivered over the course of 3 months/12 weeks. Each session takes place on a Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

Dates for the upcoming Fall 2023 semester are outlined here.

To fully engage with the program's curriculum, foster meaningful connections with cohort members, and develop an antiracist practice that will benefit you beyond your Unpacking Racism for Action learning experience, all cohort members are encouraged to attend ALL six sessions of the IMPACT Edition program.

One excused absence is allowed, but multiple absences will hinder your ability to successfully complete the program.

We encourage all participants that are actively employed to connect with their employer to see if they are willing to cover all or a portion of the program costs in support of their professional development.
Scholarship assistance is available to those who may be experiencing financial hardship.

Scholarship applications are only extended to candidates who have been accepted into the program, so if you are interested in participating in the program, we strongly encourage you to apply.

Cohorts are comprised of no more than 25-30 participants. If you were not selected for a previous cohort, we strongly encourage you to apply for the next session.
